My First Day at School - Recount

On my first day at school, my mum took me to The Warehouse and bought me two pairs of Green Bay shirts. Next mum took me to Green Bay School, I was in Room 28 but I didn’t make any friends.

At first, I didn’t make any friends, but after a while I made some friends, it was fun. Then it was home time, my mum picked me and my brother up and we went to Supermarket. A few days later, I turned six. I had fun with my friends.

When I turned 5 three years ago, my mum took me to Green Bay School.

Firstly, mum took me to the ESOL room because she couldn’t speak English yet. Then Veronica took me to Room 25 with Jill. Next, Jill asked a Chinese boy called Aubrey to help me understand. Soon, we became friends. Then in morning tea time, he told me about Ethan, his friend.

After a while I heard someone calling me. It was my mum and she was going to pick me up but I didn’t want to go. Then she went away. After morning tea, it was writing time. Jill helped me to write my very first sentence. My handwriting was really bad but that didn’t really matter. Jill was really nice to me.

After that, it was maths time. I really like my first day at Green Bay School.

On my first day at school I made friends already and my friends showed me everywhere in school and then the bell rang and I thought that there was fire because every bell is for fire alarm. So I ran away and my teacher Kyra said: “Come back.” And I did and then she said: “This isn’t a fire alarm, it is a school bell.” Then I went to my class.
